Ram built his career in banking & capital markets. He started investing in Alternative Assets after the 2008 crisis, and saw the power of investing in niche and overlooked strategies.
Ram’s investment experience covers hedge funds, private equity, credit, and digital assets.

Ram was a pre-IPO investor in various startups including Lyft, LendingClub, and Digital Ocean.
Ram also successfully invested in structured products (non-agency RMBS), esoteric strategies such as quant market-neutral hedge funds, and long/short biotech hedge funds.

Ram published research on mispriced assets such as the Grayscale WidowMaker trade on Bloomberg’s Odd Lots podcast. The Grayscale trade has gone on to be one of the best non-consensus investments in 2023.
Ram built PeerIQ, a leading platform for managing credit risk, and exited the business to Cross River Bank - the leading a16z back FinTech bank.

Ram is a frequent speaker and his investment approach is oriented on ‘non-consensus’ thinking and deep analysis. His research and writing has been featured in the Wall Street Journal, the Economist, CNBC, American Banker and more.
