In this conversation with Francesco Renzi, co-founder and CEO of Superfluid/Alfafrens, we cover everything from the journey to Superfluid to the launch of Alfafrens, focusing particularly on the what, why and how behind the latter’s success. Superfluid is an asset streaming protocol that allows you to stream money, changing the way we think about and use money. Alfafrens is a SocialFi built atop the Farcaster protocol that leverages this ability to stream tokens.

Our conversation begins with a surface level discussion on Farcaster, our bull case, and the rationale behind it. We then go on to review the technical decisions behind Alfafrens, including why it is a Progressive Web App (PWA) instead of a native app; and the challenges of building a protocol versus a social app.
