Most people use filtered water to make good cup of coffee… but in this episode, we learn how our entrepreneurial guest uses coffee to make clean water - particularly in service of remote reserves in Canada where some Indigenous communities lack proper water filtering systems. Mark Marsolais-Nahwegahbow, who is Ojibwe and a Band Member of Whitefish River First Nation, was frustrated that basic necessities were not being provided in his community, so he launched Birch Bark Coffee Co. with the goal of using proceeds from coffee sales to help fund clean water initiatives for First Nations people all over Canada. Community, culture, connection, and coffee are at the heart of his business. Today, he answers a few questions from Fred and Derek, gives advice for fellow entrepreneurs, and reveals the lessons he’s learned from starting and sustaining his cause-driven, pay-it-forward business.

Why User-Owned AI Matters More Than Ever with Sreeram Kannan
Welcome back to another episode of EigenLayer Unlocked. Today, we are exploring a side of AI x crypto that often goes under the radar: its potential to be a foundational layer for AI coordination and collaboration. This podcast live from Singapore takes us through the building blocks of how crypto rails could unlock a more secure, collaborative, and efficient AI ecosystem, alongside EigenLayer founder Sreeram Kannan. The conversation starts with the basics: crypto's ability to act as a coordination layer. In essence, we’re talking about using blockchain to manage and structure the activities of autonomous agents in a way that’s both transparent and resilient. Sreeram built the entire vision of EigenLayer with the idea of self-enforcing commitments, which is very applicable to AI. Think of human DAOs making decisions about how AI models operate, providing oversight while keeping everything distributed and not controlled by top down tech companies or worse, governments. This isn’t just about avoiding traditional regulators; it’s about creating a system that’s tailored for the positive widespread usage of AI from the ground up. The big takeaway? There's a short window right now for the crypto community to act. We’re at a point where the intersection of crypto and AI could establish a secure, global infrastructure for tomorrow’s AI. If we capitalize on this “transitory period,” we can ensure that the best AI developments run on crypto rails—embedding ethics, loyalty, and security into models that are only set to get more complex as large AI companies become more and more powerful. Let’s dive into how crypto rails could build a foundation for AI that’s as resilient as it is forward-thinking. gmove. Welcome to back to another studio podcast from Singapore for EigenLayer Unlocked! Today's pod is with Rushi Manche, co-founder of Movement Labs. We discussed the moveVM, Rushi's community building strategy and the testnet. We also explored how regions like Southeast Asia and LATAM are leading the way in everyday crypto adoption, while the USA is trying to get its footing with regulation. On the more technical front, we discussed Rushi's thesis on the shared sequencing layer, M1. Movement’s shared sequencing approach plays a crucial role for the development of their Move stack. Another key takeaway was the importance of user feedback during Movement’s testnet phase. They learned valuable lessons about quality control, third-party integrations, and how to improve the user experience by making onchain interactions smoother and easier for non-crypto natives. Overall, this was a very dynamic conversation and we even had a special guest, Jack Niewold to ask some questions. Enjoy. Why ZK is Perfect for Offchain Computation with Brevis
Welcome to episode #2 of EigenLayer Unlocked, for a dive into a technical exploration of something that’s set to quietly improve how developers build smarter, more scalable DeFi applications: ZK-coprocessors. The magic of ZK is being able to conduct complex off-chain computations and then verifiably attest to their validity onchain. This is the thesis for coprocessors. Brevis is introducing a solution that tackles one of the most frustrating bottlenecks for DeFi builders—limited onchain computational power. With Brevis, developers can offload complex computations to off-chain environments, keeping blockchain efficiency intact while still remaining verifiable using ZK proofs. Have you heard of the saying verifiable computation? This is what ZK enables. During today’s breakdown, we’ll explore how Brevis works hand-in-hand with EigenLayer, leveraging their AVS system for enhanced security and cost-efficiency. Brevis' ZK coprocessor also allows DeFi protocols to easily access historical onchain data, unlocking features like dynamic fee adjustments based on user trading history—amidst others. We ask Mo, where he anticipates the yield coming from, the demand for Brevis, as well as how he is thinking about slashing, slashing rules, and slashing contracts. Lets jump in. Writing, Podcasts and Minting Base Colors — JAKE
JAKE is a pseudo anonymous internet creator. Going with the classic blue, colour code #0000FF as his pfp. Host at Pod Of Jake where he’s interviewed almost 200 guests over 4 years. Most recently Jacob from Zora and others such as Vitalik Buterin, pplpleasr and Mark Cuban. Writer at Blog of Jake, where he’s published about creativity and writing, documenting his experiences as a podcaster, observing what’s happening on the internet, reviewing crypto news, thinking about how to learn and build. JAKE is also the founder of Base Colors, a new onchain collection where you can mint unique colour codes on Base and give them a name, an interesting primitive which many people are starting to play around and experiment with. We talk about the benefits of writing online. Go behind the scenes experiences of hosting a podcast. Thoughts on the crypto scene, Bitcoin and pseudo anon identities on the internet, decentralized social like Farcaster, and thinking too much about Colors. ___ UFO Sponsor Resources ↑ Higher — https://www.aimhigher.net/ 🌐 International Meme Fund — https://imf.bz/ --- @jake @ufoclub.eth @hollins For more episodes, go to ufo.fm

Exploring the Memecoin Supercycle with IMF — Gami, Clouted
Gami and Clouted are core contributors from International Meme Fund (IMF) and $MONEY. Their team believes it is now crucial to have native liquidity and financial infrastructure for the meme sector. They're both from Sydney and have shared interests in defi financial engineering, game theory and the memecoin phenomonen. We talk about financial nihilism. Memes as emergent properties of the internet. Why do some meme assets succeed when the vast majority fail? How do you choose the tokens that go up? (no financial advice). The internet is stranger than you think.
EIGEN Token Is Now Transferable
The EIGEN token becomes transferable. Vitalik proposes metrics for Ethereum alignment. Ethereal proposes a DEX on Ethena. And Arbitrum One hits a billion transactions. Read more: https://ethdaily.io/563
