#1 What Recalibrating Means To Me
Entry #1: What Recalibrating Means To Me I have done what I “should” do for most of my life. I worked hard to get into a good university for mechanical engineering, finishing second in my class, got into law school, got a job as a lawyer, and passed the exams to become a patent agent in Canada and the US, winning multiple awards for the highest score. Now what? Welcome to the Recalibrating Podcast 🧭 ✨ Join me as I explore the depth of what the world has to offer. Learn to better life in every way possible, reflecting and recalibrating along the way to keep from getting too lost. Thanks for sharing the journey with me ✨ I hope that you enjoy this episode of Recalibrating, thanks for listening! Subscribe for free to receive new episodes and support my work. This podcast episode is the voiceover of my first Recalibrating entry, published June 24, 2023. ABOUT ME My name is Callum, also known as wanderloots. I am an intellectual property lawyer, patent agent, engineer, blockchain specialist, photographer, animator, videographer, and writer. I quit my job to pursue a life of creativity while teaching people along the way. The world is changing more rapidly than ever before. Learning how to deal with change and recalibrate is the best skill I can learn, and hopefully the best skill I can teach you ✨
Blockchain Vibe Check
This week on MARS, Matthew & Rizzle talk about working in web3 - some red flags, good signs, and other things to be on the look out for as you interview with various teams and projects in the space based on their decade plus experience working in crypto full-time. That conversation (somehow) ends up becoming a vibe check on the overall state of the blockchain that examines the past week of memecoin shenanigans as well as million dollar mints by XCOPY x Neonglitch on Farcaster along with other artists mints from folks like Fabiano Speziari and neurocolor. Preserving & Re-telling History on the Blockchain
On this week's episode of MARS, Matthew & Rizzle take it back to the summer of 2020 when the late great Alotta Money became the very first sponsor of the WIP. Rizzle talked about the footage Paradoxx captured live during that WIP and the response it elicited when Rizzle re-shared on Twitter a few days ago [link: https://x.com/NFTland/status/1762567733256851496?s=20]. That led to a deeper reflection on how everyone who has been minting, collecting, and building on the blockchain up until this point can better preserve and re-tell all of those tokenized stories that exist across the crypto space. Towards that end, more consciously minting ephemera published around tokenized objects onchain (e.g. just like we've begun doing with CollectPods and minting this very episode onchain) is one major way we can help weave individual threads of history into more complete historical tapestries.
